Black Soap

Today I bought my first bar of African Black Soap! I have watched many videos and read many articles on its special enhancing properties. So some of you may ask, what is black soap and how can it help me (so did I)? It is brownish-black in color and it really doesn't have a scent. If I could decribe it, I would used "earthy" Black Soap comes from plantain skin. It contains a natural source of vitamins A & E and iron. (Plantain is a popular food in Africa, South America & other parts of the world. It resembles a banana but it does not taste like a banana, and has to be cooked before eating). The skin of the plantain is dried by sun and then roasted in a clay oven. Some recipes use Cocoa Pod (the shell of the Cocoa fruit) instead of plantain skins. Others use both the Cocoa Pod and plantain skins.
Okay, so you know what it is and where it comes from, so what is it good for?

  • Helps deep clean skin.
  • Used on most skin types including rough and dry.
  • Helps with bumps & spots.
  • Helps reveal radiant, fresh & healthy skinShowering
It can be used for
  • Showering
  • Bathing
  • Washing Hair
So, there you have it (sounds good right). After learning all the great things, I had to try it. The first thing I noticed was its natural lather on my skin. I left feeling really clean. Have yet to use on my hair, but you will be the first to hear!

BTW....You can try it right here with me at http://astore.amazon.com/mssashasp-20
